For over 35 years Neal Nicholson has lived in Coquitlam and worked to make Coquitlam a better place. In particular Neal has served on the Douglas College Board and been the Finance Director for the BC Seniors Games, as well as the Treasurer for the Coquitlam Heritage Society and active in his local church. Neal also has a strong commitment to our local environment and has served as the Treasurer of the River Shed Society.

As a business owner of over 30 years and an accountant of 41 years - Neal understands economics. Neal was elected to City Council in 2007. While serving as a City Councillor, Neal was able to work with City staff on finance documents and because of his training was able to see areas of savings that others could not. Neal has real life financial experience that helps to bring valuable oversight to City Hall.

Neal and his wife Barbara, have lived in Coquitlam’s Ranch Park neighbourhood since 1976.
